Biography

Joseph Barroso Jr. is a Senior Associate Attorney in the firm’s Detroit office. He focuses his practice on all aspects of medical malpractice defense, including senior living litigation.

Mr. Barroso earned his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Barroso was President of the Toledo Sports Law Society and is currently the organization’s Alumni Director.

Mr. Barroso has experience in representing insurance companies, self-insured corporations, and businesses in a wide variety of civil litigation, including first-party auto No-Fault (PIP), third-party auto negligence, insurance coverage disputes, Michigan Assigned Claims Plan (MACP) Servicing Insurer Defense, and MACP Servicing Insurer Subrogation. He also has experience in Magnuson-Moss Warranty Lemon Law litigation, criminal expungements, wills and probate, and representing professional athletes in Major League Baseball.
