Joseph C. Haupt

Since joining the firm in 2024, Joseph Haupt has brought a deep and varied legal background shaped by more than ten years of practice across multiple jurisdictions. He started his legal career in New York and London, where he advised financial institutions responding to regulatory investigations and enforcement-related inquiries. His matters involved a broad range of domestic and international regulators, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the UK Financial Conduct Authority, and the European Commission. Mr. Haupt then clerked for two years for an Article III judge in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. In that role, he supported the court’s civil docket and worked closely on commercial disputes and civil rights cases. He later joined a large regional firm’s Albuquerque office, where his litigation practice covered an array of business and tort matters such as contract and lease disputes, restrictive covenants, personal injury and vicarious liability claims, trademark and privacy issues, consumer protection claims, and products liability cases. Mr. Haupt remains engaged in the legal community through the New Mexico State Bar, including service on the Ethics Advisory Committee.
