Joseph Dodson is a Junior Associate Attorney at Stange Law Firm, based in the firm’s Lincoln, Nebraska office. He is passionate about helping clients navigate legal challenges with clarity and care, especially during life’s most difficult transitions.Joseph earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law in May 2025. While in law school, he was awarded the Emerging Leaders Scholarship and took part in a summer study abroad program at Downing College, Cambridge University, where he explored international law in a global context. During law school, Joseph was active in student organizations, including the Student Bar Association, St. Thomas More Society, and the Federalist Society. He also served as Treasurer for the Community Legal Education Project, reflecting his dedication to public education and legal outreach. Prior to law school, Joseph earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he was also involved in the Fellowship of Catholic University Students and participated in Army ROTC.Before joining Stange Law Firm in Lincoln, Nebraska, Joseph gained valuable legal experience across a variety of legal settings. He served as a Student Attorney in the First Amendment Clinic at Nebraska Law, where he handled litigation tasks such as discovery, motion practice, and client counseling. He also worked as an Administrative Hearing Officer with the Nebraska Department of Labor, where he independently managed a high volume of unemployment appeals, issued formal decisions, and ensured regulatory compliance.In earlier roles, Joseph drafted legislation and updated legal reference materials as a Legal Aide, assisted with operations at a private law firm, and worked as a Legislative Intern, attending hearings and preparing reports for lobbying clients. His background also includes service in political campaigns and customer-facing roles that strengthened his communication, organization, and client service skills. Joseph is certified in mediation in the state of Nebraska and was senior certified to practice before both the Nebraska Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska during law school.Joseph Dodson’s broad legal training, commitment to service, and strong communication skills make him a compassionate and capable advocate for clients.
