About Attorney Awards

Biography

Joe Awad is the kind of attorney other lawyers look up to. With over 40 years under his belt, the founder of Awad & Baker Law has built a reputation for winning the cases that most people find impossible. He’s secured million-dollar recoveries in more than 140 cases, ranging from complex medical malpractice to construction site accidents. Joe isn't just a trial lawyer; he’s knowledgeable in appellate courts, too, having argued before the New York State Appellate Courts over 80 times. His list of accolades is long, he’s been an AV-rated attorney since 2001 and was recently named one of the most influential lawyers in America by the Wall Street Journal. But if you ask him, he’s most proud of his service, like when he led the Long Island section of Trial Lawyers Care to provide free representation for 9/11 victims' families. Whether he’s writing legal textbooks or serving on the Governor’s task force, Joe is dedicated to excellence. He brings that same high-level strategy and deep compassion to every client he represents, ensuring they get the best possible shot at justice.
