Joshua Gonzalez-Escobar is a compassionate Associate Attorney at Stange Law Firm. Based in the firm’s Lee’s Summit, Missouri office, Joshua is able to represent clients in family law matters throughout Jackson County and the surrounding area.Joshua earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Criminal Law from St. Mary’s University School of Law in May 2019. He previously completed his Juris Doctorate in December 2017 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico School of Law. Before pursuing his legal education, Joshua earned a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico in May 2014, following a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Puerto Rico in December 2012. With a strong academic foundation and passion for helping others, Joshua is licensed and ready to serve clients in the state of Missouri.Before joining Lee’s Summit, Missouri divorce and family law attorneys at Stange Law Firm, Joshua gained valuable legal experience in a variety of roles across multiple states and practice areas. He began his legal career as a Law Clerk for a law firm in Manati, Puerto Rico, where he assisted in litigation preparation and legal research. He later worked as an Immigration Paralegal at law offices in Orlando, Florida. In Austin, Texas, Joshua worked as a Document Preparer at GP Services and later as a Legal Assistant at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel. In addition to his government work, he also spent time working as a Staff Attorney for the housing unit at Legal Aid of Western Missouri in Kansas City where he represented clients in eviction matters.
