Biography

Joshua Hopps is a senior associate attorney at WSHB's Orange County, California, office, handling all aspects of complex civil litigation.

Before joining WSHB, Mr. Hopps served as a deputy district attorney at the Mendocino County District Attorney's office. In this role, he tried over ten jury trials to verdict with an 81% conviction rate. In addition to trial work, Mr. Hopps acted as an appellate attorney for all misdemeanor cases in Mendocino County. His experience also includes handling cases in patent prosecution, copyrights, trademarks, and music law.

Mr. Hopps graduated from the University of La Verne College of Law, where he focused his studies on intellectual property. He also holds a bachelor's degree in neuroscience with an emphasis on neuropharmacology from the University of California, Riverside. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Hopps received additional training in medical devices and diagnostics, pharmaceutical drug development, molecular biotechnology, and bioscience business from Keck Graduate Institute.

Outside work, he enjoys photography, screenwriting, creative writing, and poetry.
