Joshua W. Taylor: Attorney with Morgan & Morgan

Biography

Josh Taylor is a second generation Jacksonville native, with a passion for upholding the rights of others. He graduated from Terry Parker High School and attended the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2002. He received his Juris Doctorate cum laude from the Florida State College of Law in 2006. Josh is married and has two children.

Josh started his career as an Assistant State Attorney with the 4th Judicial Circuit State Attorney Office in both Duval and Nassau County. While there he gained significant trial experience and was able to develop and hone his trial skills. Skills he now puts to use representing those injured by the negligence of others.

Josh is admitted to all Florida Courts and the United States District Courts in the Middle and Northern Districts of Florida. Josh is also a member of the local Jacksonville Bar Association.

After leaving public service, Josh practiced commercial litigation for several years, before beginning to work for one of the largest insurance defense firms in the State of Florida. In this role, Josh saw firsthand how poorly insurance companies and those responsible for causing harm treated the victims of negligence. After several years of representing these companies and individuals, Josh decided to switch sides and represent the injured. It was a decision he could not be happier with. Josh is now using his experience in the “defense world” to help those injured get the compensation they deserve to rebuild their lives.

As a Jacksonville Attorney Josh was selected as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020. This distinction is awarded to no more than 2.5% of the lawyers in the state of Florida. Josh’s practice areas include personal injury and wrongful death cases, nursing home negligence, medical malpractice, products liability and complex civil litigation. Josh is admitted to all Florida Courts and the United States District Courts in the Middle and Northern Districts of Florida. Josh is also a member of the local Jacksonville Bar Association.

When not fighting for his clients in the Courtroom, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. He enjoys boating and can often be found in the Intracoastal Waterway on weekends (except for Football season Saturdays). He is an avid Florida Gator fan and attends all home football games.
