Biography

Joslyn Iafrate is a principal with the firm’s Detroit office who focuses her practice on medical malpractice defense litigation and premises liability defense. She served as law clerk to Justice Marilyn Kelly of the Michigan Supreme Court.

Ms. Iafrate received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy, where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. She also earned a B.A. from Wayne State University, majoring in Political Science.

Ms. Iafrate was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2022 and 2023. Rising Stars are attorneys who are 40 years old or younger or those who have practiced for ten years or less. Only 2.5 percent of Michigan lawyers are named to this list every year. She was recognized as a Top Lawyer by DBusiness Magazine in 2014.

Ms. Iafrate is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, and is licensed to practice law in Michigan. She is also an active member of the Michigan Society of Health Care Risk Management.
