Biography

Judd was recently appointed as co-lead counsel in the Tragic Surfside Building collapse case. While litigating that case he obtained, for the victim's families, the largest negligent security settlement and the largest single incident settlement in Florida history. The Security company that Mr. Rosen prosecuted paid 517.5 million dollars into the 1.2 Billion dollar settlement fund. Mr. Rosen was also tapped to lead the months-long and highly contested negotiations between the guest victims of the collapse and building Unit owners. That successful settlement and others were highly publicized on nearly every local and national news station, The NY Times, and in a feature story about Judd and his client in Rolling Stone Magazine.

Victims in high-profile cases come to Judd seeking justice for their families. The Cypress wrongful death case, Red Air Crash, BSO helicopter crash, Yucatán Bus crash killing 12, Shuckers Deck Collapse, I-95 Boom Truck rollover, Killian High stabbing case, FIU bridge collapse, are just some of the heavily publicized cases that Mr. Rosen has litigated. However, It is the desire to help all victims from all walks of life that makes Judd so successful. He often refers to his clients as his family and his firm is proud of the relationships with their clients that last generations.

Judd and his brother Brett are managing partners of the firm. Together, and with the valuable help of their team of lawyers and paralegals at Goldberg and Rosen, they have amassed tremendous courtroom results including the largest verdict for adult surviving children (35 million), stabbing victim verdict (20 million), the largest verdict for a plaintiff over 90 years old (6.1) million, assault victim verdict (13 million), fall victim verdict (6 million), herniated disk verdict (5 million).

Born and raised in Miami Florida, Judd is a proud graduate of the University of Miami School of Law.

While at the University of Miami School of Law, Mr. Rosen obtained multiple Dean’s List Awards, received the CALI Award for Excellence, and obtained the Dean’s Certification of Achievement for his performance and mastery of the Rules of Evidence. He excelled in all of his litigation courses and received the highest honors in the university’s renowned Litigation Skills Program. Mr. Rosen was also crowned the champion of the school’s first-year Moot Court Competition. To recognize his contributions, the university granted Mr. Rosen the Louis Phillips Endowed Scholarship Award in the spring of 2000. Most impressively, Mr. Rosen obtained all of these achievements while working over thirty hours a week as a law clerk for his future partner, Glen Z. Goldberg, Esq.

Goldberg and Rosen was founded by Judd’s late Uncle, Glen Goldberg. Glen was a mentor and role model for Judd and Brett as they credit their success to the opportunities and values that Mr. Goldberg instilled in the firm.

Judd Rosen is one of the leading high-stakes trial lawyers in the United States. He has recovered well over a Billion Dollars in verdicts and settlements for his clients.
