Attorney Julia L. Avellaneda was born and raised in Florida. Julia’s hobbies include snowmobiling, white water rafting, hiking, any water activities, reading, traveling, and spending time with her dog and family.

Julia is the daughter of an immigrant. She was the first in her family to graduate college and graduate school. She comes from a large Mexican-American family who is proud that she is the first attorney among them.

Background and Education

Prior to becoming an attorney, Julia was a paralegal for over 13 years. While in law school, Julia worked for a Family Law Attorney and assisted with Spanish-speaking clients. In law school, Julia completed a Mediation course to improve her negotiation skills. Julia practiced Family Law for three and a half years before joining Springs Law Group.

Experience

Julia is admitted to practice law in the State of Colorado. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the El Paso County Bar Association, and the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association. Julia became a Rotary member in 2019.

Julia is fluent in both English and Spanish.
