Biography

Julie Mayer is an associate in the firm's Virginia Beach office. Ms. Mayer primarily focuses her practice on the representation of healthcare providers in the defense of professional liability litigation. Clients of Ms. Mayer include community hospitals, physician groups, physicians, oral surgeons and dentists in a wide variety of specialties.

Ms. Mayer received her Bachelor of Arts Degree cum laude in Government and Classical Studies from the College of William and Mary, and her Juris Doctorate magna cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Mayer was an Articles Editor of the University of Akron Law Review and President of the Moot Court Honor Society.

Prior to joining HDJN, Ms. Mayer served as a law clerk to Judges at the Circuit Court for the City of Virginia Beach. She has also served as an extern to judges at the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio and the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
