Biography

Junru Yu is an associate in Greenberg Traurig’s Dallas office. Her practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, patent portfolio management, and counseling clients on freedom-to-operate and opinion work. Prior to joining the firm, Junru was an associate at a Washington, D.C., law firm where she focused on preparation and prosecution of patent applications, non-infringement and invalidity opinions, and challenging competitor patents in contested proceedings at the USPTO.

Her technical experience extends to molecular biology, biochemistry, enzymology, protein chemistry, and pharmaceuticals. Her graduate research focused on mechanistic details of ligand binding and catalysis in human histone deacetylase 8 and sirtuins to design isozyme selective inhibitors as potential therapeutics.
