Junya Okura

Junya Okura is a member of the International Trade Practice in Greenberg Traurig's Tokyo office. He focuses his practice on general corporate law, antitrust/competition law, foreign investment regulations, and international trade. He has deep experience advising on cross-border transactions and regulatory compliance. He handles a broad range of antitrust and competition law matters, with particular emphasis on regulatory issues related to M&A, including multijurisdictional merger control, foreign investment regulations, and compliance with the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation. He has represented numerous Japanese and international companies in merger control filings across multiple jurisdictions. In addition, he regularly advises clients on international trade matters, including export control regulations and economic sanctions.

• Advised domestic and international companies on foreign investment regulations under Japan’s Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act (FEFTA).°

• Advised multiple Japanese companies on compliance with the EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR).°

• Provided guidance to financial institutions regarding sanctions against the Russian Federation.°

• Delivered updates on export control regulations across multiple jurisdictions.°
