About Attorney Awards

Biography

Justin is a natural problem-solver with a creative approach to complex deal-making and high-pressure dispute resolution. He has been a Yolo County real estate attorney and broker since 2010, managing both the Lowenthal APC and Lowenthal Realty Co. offices. Justin formerly served as General Counsel for the Davis Chamber of Commerce and a venture-backed tech startup in Sacramento. He also served on the Yolo County Assessment Appeals Board and on the Board of Directors for a number of non-profits.

Justin’s practice aims to serve clients in a variety of real estate matters, particularly in the context of residential properties and farmland. At Lowenthal, we represent clients throughout the State of California but namely in Yolo, Solano, and Sacramento Counties. Justin’s work often involves nuanced contracts and agreements, real estate options and sales, real estate fraud, such as seller non-disclosure and concealment, title defects, construction contracts and disputes, rural property and farmland issues, real estate broker (fiduciary duty) disputes, neighbor disputes (e.g., easements, boundary lines and encroachments, etc.), partnerships and LLC’s, group investments and joint venture developments and several other areas of practice.

Since 2019, Justin received and has maintained an AV Preeminent® rating by Martindale-Hubbell®, an award, according to Martindale-Hubbell, that is shared by an elite group of just 10% of all attorneys, including only those who have achieved the highest level of professional excellence for legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards. From 2020, Justin was named and has been named each year thereafter to the Northern California Rising Stars list published by Super Lawyers, an award given to less than 2.5% of all attorneys in Northern California. Justin is a Top Attorney (10.0) on Avvo.com with a 5-star client review rating and has, on Avvo and elsewhere, over 100 published client reviews and multiple peer endorsements. In recent years, Justin was in the top 3 for Best Attorney in Yolo County according to the Davis Enterprise Reader’s Choice survey. As a broker, Justin is a 5-star agent on Zillow.com - a product of the millions of dollars in residential and commercial real estate he has sold, and the number of satisfied clients he has represented. He is also a former CABB/IBBA member, having spent several years as a business broker.

A true native “Davisite,” Justin was born and raised in Davis, and continues to live there with his family. He has spent his career advising and representing clients in the Davis area, some of whom he has known since he was a child. In his free time, Justin enjoys training and coaching competitive grappling and Brazilian jiu jitsu, training Muay Thai kickboxing, cooking, rocking out, and spending time with the kids.
