Justin K. Larson is a member of the Gould Cooksey Fennell's Estate Planning & Tax Group, and he devotes his practice to assisting high-net-worth clients with estate planning, estate and trust administration, and related tax matters.Mr. Larson helps high-net-worth individuals and families formulate and implement customized, comprehensive estate plans based on each client’s unique objectives, assets, and circumstances. This often involves the use of sophisticated, tax-efficient strategies designed to help preserve assets for the benefit of future generations, and may include multi-generational dynasty trusts, irrevocable gift trusts, life insurance trusts, GRATs, QPRTs, family business entities, sales to grantor trusts, and spousal lifetime access trusts. Mr. Larson is also experienced in structuring charitable gifts and bequests, including via charitable trusts, donor advised funds, and private foundations.In estate and trust administration, Mr. Larson works to help ensure optimal execution of the planning efforts and the minimization of income, estate, and generation-skipping transfer taxes which may apply, and he helps fiduciaries and beneficiaries understand and exercise their various duties, rights, and responsibilities. He is skilled in the preparation and filing of federal gift tax returns (Form 709) and federal estate tax returns (Form 706), and he also assists and advises on related elections, strategic planning, and ancillary reporting with respect to same.Mr. Larson earned his Juris Doctor degree from Duke University School of Law. He also graduated with honors from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, and later earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Mr. Larson is also a board certified specialist in Wills, Trusts and Estate by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education.Mr. Larson is a graduate of the Florida Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a board member of the Indian River Estate Planning Council, and a member of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law and Tax Law Sections of The Florida Bar.
