Biography

K. Cody Allison, a proud Tennessee native, is a seasoned attorney with a distinguished career spanning over 20 years. He earned his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College Law School in 1999 after graduating from the University of Tennessee in 1994. Cody is deeply involved in the legal community, serving as the Chief Proctor for the Tennessee Bar Exam through the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners and mentoring young attorneys as a Tennessee Supreme Court-certified Attorney Mentor under Rule 21. Cody is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Tennessee and Kentucky, as well as several federal courts in Michigan and other states. He gained national recognition as the lead attorney in the Sixth Circuit decision of Hance v. Norfolk Southern Railway Company, a landmark case involving the wrongful termination of a military reservist under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). Focusing on ERISA and non-ERISA long-term disability claims, Cody has successfully represented numerous clients across the United States. In addition to his legal practice, Cody has a long-standing role as an on-air announcer for the Tennessee Titans, providing live reports and post-game interviews for Titans Radio.
