Biography

Kaitlin Leary is an experienced attorney in the civil litigation practice. She practices in state and federal court at both the trial and appellate levels, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

She has experience in labor & employment law, financial services litigation, consumer protection, and criminal defense. Kaitlin is passionate about representing individuals who have been wronged by corporate or governmental abuses of power.

Kaitlin joined JGL in 2024, after spending four years practicing employment law and financial services litigation at a plaintiff-side law firm in DC. Prior to that, Kaitlin was a law fellow for a nonprofit consumer advocacy organization and for the largest labor union in the country, representing teachers.

Prior to her fellowships, Kaitlin served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph M. Getty on the Supreme Court of Maryland and to the Honorable Joseph R. Goodwin on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
