Kaitlyn graduated from Milligan College with a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration with an emphasis in Legal Studies. Kaitlyn went on to earn her J.D from the University of Tennessee where she graduated cum laude. Kaitlyn was the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Estate Planning and Taxation, Civil Pretrial Litigation, and the Wills Clinic as well as served as the Managing Editor of the Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice and as a Research Editor for Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law.

After graduating from the University of Tennessee’s College of Law, Kaitlyn received her L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida where she served as a Graduate Editor for the Florida Tax Review.
