Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Kajal Alemo
brings a wealth of legal expertise to Pond Lehocky Giordano. As an
active member of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and the
American Association for Justice, she holds the prestigious role of
Chair-Elect of the Social Security Executive Council.
Before joining
Pond Lehocky, Ms. Alemo made significant contributions at a large
Philadelphia law firm, where she collaborated with senior counsel on
coding potentially discoverable corporate documents, including
privilege determinations for a high-profile merger. Her role also
extended to co-editing a legal textbook focused on law and business
enterprise.
A proud graduate
of Villanova University School of Law, Ms. Alemo distinguished
herself as the Villanova Law student director of Face to Face Legal
Clinic for the Pro Bono Society. Throughout her three years of law
school, she interned at Face to Face, and as a student attorney at
the Villanova Civil Justice Clinic, she successfully handled her
first Social Security case.
Ms. Alemo's
commitment to pro bono work has earned recognition from The Legal
Intelligencer. The Philadelphia Bar Association has also acknowledged
her outstanding contributions to public service, honoring her with
the Dorothy Day Public Service Award.
In 2016, Ms.
Alemo was selected as a Top Woman in Law by The Legal Intelligencer's
editorial staff. Her expertise led to an invitation to participate in
the Women in the Profession Roundtable in the same year.
Subsequently, she was invited to moderate roundtable discussions on
breaking into the Boys’ Club at the 2018 Women in Law and
Leadership Summit hosted by CenterForce. Her moderation skills were
again sought in 2019, where she led discussions on the topic of Women
& Self Advocacy: Damned if you Do, Damned if you Don’t.
Prior to her
legal journey, Ms. Alemo earned a B.A. in Psychology from George
Washington University, graduating on the Dean’s List. Her
leadership skills were evident as President/Justice of Phi Alpha
Delta Law Fraternity International, where under her guidance, Phi
Alpha Delta’s King Chapter received the award for the most improved
chapter in its district. She is also a proud member of the National
Society of Collegiate Scholars and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity
International.
