Biography

Kamil Robinson is an Associate Attorney at HHJ Trial Attorneys. Kamil is a firm and zealous advocate who uses his skills to fight for clients who have suffered catastrophic personal injuries and discrimination within the workplace. As an Associate Attorney, Kamil routinely appears in court and depositions, secures top settlements for clients, and assists Partners in the firm’s Law and Motion department.

Kamil was born in Inglewood, California, however, is a San Diego native at heart as he has been residing in San Diego since the age of 5. In 2019, Kamil received two undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice, with an emphasis in Public Law, from San Diego State University. In May 2022, Kamil earned his Juris Doctor graduating cum laude from California Western School of Law. He was an admission scholarship recipient and even received academic merit-based scholarships during his time in law school.

Kamil has always had a passion for advocating for clients in the courtroom. During his first year as a law student, he competed in his law school’s Gafford Trial Competition and earned a Distinguished Advocate Award for his opening statement. He thereafter honed his trial skills with other Distinguished Advocate Award recipients in his law school’s trial bootcamp. During this bootcamp, Kamil continued to refine his skills as a future trial attorney by mastering opening statements, closing statements, direct examinations, cross examinations, and motions in limine. Kamil’s consist hard work earned him the Academic Achievement Award, which is only given to the top advocate in the trial bootcamp class. Thereon, Kamil went to compete in various national trial competitions, including the Texas Young Lawyers Trial Competition, All-Star Trial Competition, and American Associate of Justice Trial Competition. Kamil’s advocacy led him and his team to become semi-finalist in the All-Star Competition and finalist in the American Association of Justice Competition.

In addition to Kamil’s trial advocacy experience, he has worked as a law clerk for several well-respected law firms and the San Diego County Public Defenders’ Office. As a law clerk, Kamil handled matters involving various types of law such as criminal law, employment law, personal injury, debt collection law, credit card reporting law, and lemon law. In the summer of 2022, Kamil joined HHJ Trial Attorneys as a post-bar law clerk, and upon receiving favorable bar results, was promoted to Associate Attorney in November 2022.

In Kamil’s free time, he enjoys traveling, weightlifting, running, cooking his grandmother’s legendary dishes, and watching movies. Feel free to ask him about a movie or dish, and he will be happy to talk to you for hours about either of those topics.
