Biography

Kara E. Angeletti has a diverse practice ranging from complex commercial litigation to employment issues. On the commercial litigation side, Kara has experience defending class action tort disputes, including in evolving areas of the law, as well as constitutional violations, securities and financial services disputes, fraud claims, and biometric privacy disputes. Kara’s employment practice focuses on matters involving employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage-and-hour, restrictive covenants, trade secret claims, and employment-related claims arising under state and federal statutes and constitutional law. Kara also focuses on handling appeals of various legal issues, including matters she managed with the lower court and matters she adopted on appeal only. Kara has handled cases at both the state appellate and supreme court levels, as well as the federal appeals level. In addition to her appellate work, Kara is adept at handling all stages of litigation, including analyzing a case from its inception to presenting it for trial and beyond.

Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Kara also gained experience handling cases involving negligence, contractual disputes, insurance coverage and indemnity agreements, consumer fraud, section 1983 claims, prisoner’s rights issues, and professional liability.
