Biography

Karen Dove Barr has been practicing law in Savannah since 1977. She became a long distance runner at age 50. Since becoming a long distance runner she has written regularly about various legal and non-legal subjects. Karen is the author of The Legal Soapbox, a monthly advice column for landlords and apartment managers, published in Savannah Apartment Association News and a nature column published monthly in This Week at the Landings. Her articles have been published in Runner’s World, Dog Fancy, Fitness magazine, Savannah Magazine, Coastal Senior, and many other regional and local magazines.Karen also is a regular speaker at continuing legal education seminars, writer’s groups, and organizations whose members are interested in exercise.Our firm handles legal matters in the following practice areas: Family law, divorce, custody, child support, visitation; Criminal law, felonies, misdemeanors, state and federal; Real estate closings, litigation, landlord/tenant; Creditor bankruptcy; Immigration
