Karen E. Evangelista

Karen E. Evangelista is an attorney in Rochester, Michigan. She specializes in bankruptcy law and creditor rights and has served as a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee since 1998 in cases before the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Ms. Evangelista is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. She is certified by the American Bankruptcy Institute in Consumer Bankruptcy Law. She held the position of President of the Consumer Bankruptcy Association from 1998 to 2007. She lectures on bankruptcy issues to various legal and lay groups.


Ms. Evangelista received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1977 and a J.D. degree from the University of Detroit in 1983.

Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification since 1993.
