Biography

Karin Wolman is a distinguished New York immigration attorney and the principal of the Law Office of Karin Wolman, PLLC. A graduate of Columbia University and UCLA School of Law, Ms. Wolman began her career preparing employment-based visa petitions at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, where she worked with performing artists as the O & P visa categories were launched. Since 1996, she has dedicated her practice exclusively to immigration law, representing major corporations, small businesses, non-profits and individuals across diverse industries including healthcare, scientific research, technology, finance, and all fields of the arts and design. Ms. Wolman counsels employers on workforce development and retention through visa sponsorship, and helps individuals navigate transitions from student to professional, career changes, family reunification, and overcoming grounds of ineligibility for visas, permanent residence, or citizenship. An active contributor to the legal community, she frequently publishes and speaks on immigration topics, and serves on assorted committees and task forces for the American Immigration Lawyers Association and other professional organizations at the local and national levels.
