Karl Seman is a founding member of KCS Law and the kind of no-nonsense litigator you want on your side when the stakes are high. With over 35 years of experience in criminal and vehicular defense, Karl has seen it all—from traffic tickets and first-time DWIs to complex cases involving manslaughter or white-collar crime. What sets him apart is his "inside" perspective; he’s a former Felony Trial Assistant District Attorney, so he knows exactly how the prosecution builds a case. He’s even gone as far as completing the same 24-hour police training course that officers take to detect impaired drivers, giving him a massive advantage when challenging sobriety tests. Beyond the courtroom, Karl is deeply involved in school law, helping students navigate disciplinary hearings and special education needs. He’s also known for his work in theft defense, drawing on early career experience in retail investigations to protect clients from shoplifting or embezzlement charges. Karl is a mentor to other attorneys and an adjunct professor, but his primary focus is always on his clients. He believes in clear communication and straightforward fees, ensuring you always know where you stand. Whether he’s defending a major felony or advocating for a student’s future, Karl brings a practical, battle-tested approach to every case he handles in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
