Kate Murray

Kate was born and raised in Champaign, Illinois and takes great pride in working with local families to effectively resolve their legal issues. Kate is a graduate of the University of Illinois where she majored in Political Science and History. She obtained her law degree from Catholic University in Washington D.C.

While in law school, Kate served as a law clerk at the Department of Education in the Office for Civil Rights and as a judicial intern for the Hon. Patricia Broderick of DC Superior Court and the Hon. H.F. Gierke, Chief Judge of the US Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. Prior to law school, Kate worked as a Congressional Aide.

Before starting her own practice, Kate worked in New York City for 10 years where she specialized in corporate litigation. Upon returning home to Champaign, she worked for two local law firms where she focused primarily on family law and real estate. Kate’s practice is now exclusively devoted to family law and real estate related-matters and she enjoys working closely with families to assist them in navigating the legal issues that they face in these areas.
