Katherine (Katie) Barton

Prior to joining Meagher + Geer, Katie served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Nelson L. Peralta of the Fourth Judicial District.

She earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law where she served as a Lead Articles Editor of the San Diego Law Review. During law school, Katie completed externships with the Superior Court of California, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, and an internship with the San Diego City Attorney’s Office.

Prior to attending law school, Katie worked as a Paralegal in Minneapolis handling civil litigation matters. Katie is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Religion.

An avid runner and Twin Cities Marathon Finisher, Katie enjoys spending her free time hiking, canoeing, and camping.
