Katherine Kühn, a dedicated Senior Associate Attorney, is committed to helping clients in Lancaster County, Nebraska, and nearby areas from the firm’s Lincoln office.Katherine attended Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, where she obtained her Juris Doctor in May 2004. While in law school, she served as the President of the Women’s Law Student Association and participated in the Advanced Trial Court Competition and the Trial Court Competition. Before law school, Katherine attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in May 2001. Katherine is licensed to practice law in Nebraska.Prior to joining the Lincoln, Nebraska divorce and family law attorneys at Stange Law Firm, Katherine most recently served as an attorney with the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy, where she focused on document preparation and review, legal research, case evaluations for enforcement actions, and correspondence with outside counsel. She also attended civil meetings to support ongoing legal matters. Previously, she served as a Deputy County Attorney in Dawson County, Nebraska for five years, where she argued motions before state and appellate courts, conducted bench trials, and represented the state in civil, misdemeanor, and juvenile matters. She advised county officials, drafted policies and monitored legal proceedings of state interest. Prior to that, she worked as an independent contract attorney and as a partner at a law firm in Omaha, handling litigation, negotiations, and legal research. Her experience also includes regulatory work with the Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance, where she investigated consumer complaints and conducted hearings against financial institutions. Katherine’s experience outside Nebraska includes litigation and consumer debt negotiations in Tennessee and Oklahoma. She worked as a contract attorney in Nashville, a Team Lead Attorney handling settlements in Oklahoma City, and an associate focusing on financial regulations and foreclosure cases.
