Biography

Kathy Hogan is a Founding Equity Partner at Hogan Omidi, PC and limits her practice to family law and focuses on complex financial and custody issues at trial and on appeal, as well as prenuptial and marital agreements. As a Denver family law attorney, she regularly handles cases involving such matters as business valuations, private equity ventures, the effect of divorce of family trusts, stock based compensation and other types of assets or interests beyond houses, cars and bank accounts. However, she also skillfully manages the valuation and division of more routine kinds of financial interests.

Colorado Family Law Practice, a two volume set now in its second edition, is a leading reference tool state wide for lawyers, judges and others.

With more than 25 years of litigation experience as a Denver divorce lawyer, Ms. Hogan has successfully helped clients throughout the state of Colorado. That extensive litigation experience also serves her clients well in non-litigated cases, since she understands well the risks of going to court and the benefits of a well crafted negotiated resolution. Kathy’s extensive knowledge of family law and tireless dedication to her clients’ interests have resulted in a number of honors from within the legal community. She has consistently been included in the Best Lawyers in America for Family law, has been named a Colorado SuperLawyer for family Law for over 15 years, and ranks in the top 50 Women Lawyers in Colorado.

Although Ms. Hogan spends much of her time advocating for her clients in both negotiations and litigation, she still finds time to be an active member of the legal community. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Family Law Section and the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association. She is also the past President of the Colorado Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the Editor in Chief of The Family Advocate, a quarterly magazine published by the American Bar Association. Kathy is also a frequent speaker at continuing education programs.

Outside of the office Kathy enjoys skiing, hiking, gardening and generally appreciating the many changes and adventures life has presented.
