Biography

Kathleen Brown (Mary Kathleen Hackney Brown) has been licensed to practice law before all State courts in the State of Texas since 2002. She is admitted before the U.S. District Court of Northern District since 2006 and admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 2010-2023.

In 2012, Ms. Brown became a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rated attorney, a rating that symbolizes the highest level of professional excellence for her legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards by her peers.

For 21 years, Ms. Brown has assisted clients in the Texas area with contested divorces, custody issues, protective orders (both obtaining and defending or dissolving them), estate planning, probating estates, and contesting or defending wills and testamentary capacity.

Ms. Brown has also zealously advocated for those injured as a result of medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, wrongful death due to dangerous workplace conditions, and product and medical device defects.

Ms. Brown has received numerous five-star reviews from previous clients and works hard to provide the very best legal representation to every client. Ms. Brown understands the emotional and life changing decisions her clients are making when filing for divorce or faced with a contentious child custody dispute, and prides herself on giving sound, practical, objective advice well-grounded in the facts and in law to preserve not only her clients’ money, but also their well-being.

Ms. Brown is currently married to her second husband for 29 years, but has personally dealt with a contentious divorce and subsequent custody fight, and can personally relate to the high emotions that come with contentious family law litigation.
