Biography

Kathleen Kennedy is an associate lawyer in the Firm's Toronto office. Kathleen maintains a broad practice in all areas of labour and employment law and has advised employers across a wide range of industries in both the private and public sectors. Before joining the Firm, Kathleen summered and articled at a leading labour and employment boutique. Kathleen earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University, and she completed a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management. Kathleen’s background in Human Resources provides her with a practical understanding of the day-to-day challenges faced by employers. While in law school, Kathleen was an active volunteer and leader. She began volunteering with Pro Bono Students Canada in its Youth ID Clinic as a first-year law student. Kathleen went on to lead the Youth ID Clinic in both her second and third year of law school. In recognition of her volunteer work, Kathleen was awarded Pro Bono Students Canada’s 2024 Chief Justice Wagner Award. Outside of her volunteering, Kathleen served as President of Windsor Law’s Labour and Employment Law Society.
