Biography

Kathleen F. Lobben received her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where she had served as class president and was a member of Phi Delta Phi. She graduated Summa Cum Laude, as class valedictorian, from St. John's University, where she was President of the Skull and Circle Honor Society and was the recipient of the President's Award for Scholarship and Service.

Ms. Lobben is a solo practitioner in Setauket, New York, specializing in Estate and Trust Planning, Probate and Administration of Estates, Elder Law, Medicaid Planning and Litigation. She has assisted hundreds of clients in such legal matters. In addition, she has served as Guardian ad Litem in Surrogate's Court proceedings, as Law Guardian in Supreme Court proceedings, and as Court Evaluator in Article 81 Guardianship proceedings. She began her career as an Associate Trial Attorney with a prestigious litigation firm in New York. Thereafter, she served first as Law Secretary and then as Court Attorney Referee for the Suffolk County Surrogate's Court. As Court Attorney Referee, she conducted hearings in a variety of proceedings, served as a special referee, prepared memorandum of law, researched and analyzed complex issues legal issues for trial and hearings. She also served as a legal advisor for various departments within the Court, conducted Court conferences and supervised support staff.

She has been associated with Feldman, Kramer and Monaco for the past five years and has welcomed the opportunity to work with their clients. In 2018 she was honored to be the recipient of one of Legal Shield's Individual Member's Choice Awards and attended the Legal Shield Elevate Conference in Denver in June, 2019.

Ms. Lobben is admitted to the New York State Bar, the Southern and Eastern Federal District Courts, the US Supreme Court, the US Court of Claims and the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. She is a member of various Bar Associations and has been an active member of numerous volunteer service organizations in her Community, having served as President, Vice President and Secretary of several Parent Teacher Organizations within the Three Village School District. She has also been on the Board of Directors of Response of Suffolk County, Inc and an officer on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Suffolk County.
