Kathryn Wickline graduated in Business Administration with a concentration in legal assisting from Shawnee State University. She got her JD from Salmon P. Chase College of Law 2016. Additionally, she holds an Associate of Applied Business degree.

As a Cincinnati personal injury attorney, I love being able to help people. Helping take away someone’s stress from a scary legal situation is the best feeling. In the first case I ever settled, a smaller case, the client sobbed because she now had enough money to pay her rent. She hadn’t told me, but she was being evicted.

Life has taught me to never judge a book by its cover. We don’t know what people are going through or have gone through in their life. Sometimes a smile, a few extra minutes on the phone, or a kind voice from a stranger can change everything.

I grew up in a small town in rural Ohio. My family lived on a working farm. I feel like growing up in a rural area is a huge influence. There is always work to be done, but there is also a sense of community that you don’t find in larger metropolitan areas.

My husband has always been my biggest supporter. We have been together since middle school. I was 16 years old when I told him I was going to be an attorney. He just nodded his head. I have never had to doubt if he was going to be on my side or support me.

I have one daughter, soon turning 2. Our daughter is the best thing to have ever happened to us, but also the scariest. We were told multiple times during the pregnancy that she might not be viable. She was born at only 35 weeks gestation. She spent the first 11 days of her life in the NICU, due to COVID protocols we were unable to be with her. She was released and it was amazing, but she was rushed back less than two weeks later and had emergency surgery. Another week in the NICU where she caught COVID and MRSA. She came home and started treating with a cardiologist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and speech therapist. By six months old they were ordering scans of her brain and discussing delays. However, despite what felt like overwhelming odds, by her first birthday, she was hitting all milestones. At her 18-month checkup, she was hitting 2-year milestones and the doctors were shocked. She is our constant reminder to never doubt that there is a plan and that you can beat the odds.

I am always planning a new adventure. I probably have 10 working itineraries for everything from weekend trips to 10+ day excursions. I also enjoy reading and helping promote indie authors.
