Kathryn Jane Coleman: Attorney with Hinman Straub P.C.

Biography

Katy Coleman has a prodigious background in health care law, having served more than three years as assistant counsel to the New York State Senate Majority Counsel/Program Office on Health and Mental Hygiene matters, among other government positions. Katy's clients are largely health care providers, including adult homes, nursing homes, home care agencies, hospitals, physicians and health care trade associations. Given her background in media and experience handling the gamut of communications issues that accompany the regulatory and legislative processes, Katy offers clients a dynamic multidisciplinary blend of experience and innovative counsel in addressing complex State and federal health care matters requiring interaction with government. Albany's Government Affairs practice offers a combination of solid legal skills, seasoned judgment and ready access to powerful players in government centers, and Katy taps into that resource on behalf of her clients as necessary.
