Biography

Kathryn (Kate) Lopez is an associate in the Tampa office of Cole, Scott & Kissane PA. Her practice focuses in the areas of labor and employment litigation, general civil litigation, personal injury, premises liability, products liability and wrongful death.

Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Kate worked at the Office of the State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit managing a 300+ caseload in both misdemeanor and domestic violence divisions. Ms. Lopez conducted criminal jury trials and motions. She also gained additional experience in criminal appellate matters by writing numerous criminal appellate briefs and responses to post-conviction orders.

During law school, Ms. Lopez was a part of Stetson Law Review as an associate and editor. In her third year, Ms. Lopez was awarded the Wehle Award, the highest distinction in trial advocacy.
