Kathy J. Mauk

Kathy Mauk is an Altoona, Pennsylvania native who has spent her entire life in the area and built a legal career serving local clients. She graduated from Juniata College in Huntingdon in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Political Science, and she earned her Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law in 1994. Ms. Mauk was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in 1994 and is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Middle, Eastern, and Western Districts of Pennsylvania. Before joining Evey Black Attorneys in 2001, she practiced with the Altoona firm Jubelirer, Carothers, Krier & Halpern, where she handled primarily defense medical malpractice litigation. From 2012 until 2018, Attorney Mauk managed Evey Black’s Louis S. Walton office, which focused exclusively on workers’ compensation cases until the firm transitioned those matters back in-house. Her current practice includes workers’ compensation, personal injury, general civil litigation, real estate, municipal law, unemployment compensation, and estate administration. She also prepares important estate planning documents, including wills, powers of attorney, and living wills, helping clients plan for the future with clarity and peace of mind.
