Biography

Katie L. Marrs assists individuals with disabilities and those requiring long-term care, along with their families, by providing legal services focused on elder and disability law. Her work includes benefits advocacy, long-term care planning, guardianship and conservatorship matters, estate planning, and estate and trust administration. She emphasizes practical planning strategies tailored to each client’s circumstances. Katie earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law in 2017 after receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English and Law, Societies & Justice from the same university in 2014. While in law school, she served as the Peter Greenfield Senior Advocacy Intern at Columbia Legal Services in Seattle. After being admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2017, she began practicing elder law at Northwest Elder Law Group, PLLC, before joining Brothers Henderson Durkin, P.S. as an associate in 2021. From 2022 to 2024, she has been recognized as a Rising Star by Washington Law & Politics. A lifelong resident of the greater Seattle area, Katie enjoys spending her free time outdoors with her husband and son, whether hiking, visiting the beach, or relaxing in their backyard.
