Katie L. Winbauer

Katie is an associate in our Bismarck office practicing in media law, estate planning and probate, real estate law, and general litigation. Katie also serves as a panel attorney for the Criminal Justice Act and is a registered Lobbyist in North Dakota. Prior to starting private practice, Katie clerked for the Honorable Daniel J. Crothers with the North Dakota Supreme Court.

Katie received her juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2021. While in law school, Katie was the Outside Articles Editor and Symposium Co-Editor for the North Dakota Law Review, a teaching assistant for Lawyering Skills, and was actively involved in Moot Court and Law Women’s Caucus.

Katie was raised in Bismarck. She served as editor-in-chief of Bismarck State College’s student newspaper and writes monthly columns for the Bismarck Tribune. In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and their son.
