Biography

Keleisha Milton is an Associate at Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP, where she de-fends the Firm’s client physicians, hospitals, and group practices in a variety of medical malpractice matters.

Prior to joining MCB, Keleisha held associate attorney positions at two different firms in the New York area. Working with these firms’ legal teams, she helped to prepare strategic defenses against medical malpractice claims by perform-ing legal research; drafting and filing court documents; preparing discovery responses; analyzing medical records; and assisting in trial preparation. Be-fore these tenures, she gained valuable experience through legal internships and volunteer positions at such places as the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and the Nassau County Bar Association. These endeav-ors provided broad experience in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, drafting and filing legal documents, and legal analysis.

Keleisha received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with hon-ors, from the University of Technology, Jamaica, in 2007. She earned her Bach-elor of Law degree, with honors, from the University of London in 2018. She received a Master of Law degree from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2020, earning an Academic Merit scholarship. Finally, she was awarded her J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2022, receiving an Academic Merit Scholarship and serving as Treasurer of the Black Law Students Association. Keleisha is admitted to prac-tice in New York.
