Biography

Albemarle County native, Kelly Roberts, joined the firm in 2015. She spent the first eight years of her practice in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area practicing civil litigation, with an emphasis in family law. In times of chaos, Mrs. Roberts' sympathetic ear has brought comfort to many clients. Do not let her kind demeanor fool you – she knows when to be aggressive. Mrs. Roberts' approachable style aids in the often confusing legal maze faced by most clients. Mrs. Roberts represents clients in a wide area of contested civil litigation across eighteen venues, with a focus on Estate Administration, Guardianships and Adoption. Mrs. Roberts travels between our Staunton, Harrisonburg and Charlottesville offices, and is able to meet with clients in any of our four (4) office locations.

After graduation from Mary Baldwin College in 2003 with her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Mrs. Roberts attended Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, receiving her Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 2006. Mrs. Roberts was admitted to practice in 2007 to the Virginia State Bar, and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia and U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Mrs. Roberts had the honor of serving as Staff Attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia’s Tidewater Office from 2008 until 2014, when she moved back to Albemarle County where Mrs. Roberts resides with her Husband and two children. Mrs. Roberts is guided daily by her Christian faith.
