Biography

Kelsey Weiss received a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology & Microbiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Central Florida. From there, Kelsey received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law where she was ranked in the top 8% of her class. At Stetson, Kelsey was a Student Editor for the Journal of International Wildlife Law and Policy, a teaching assistant for first-year Torts students, and was a graduate of the Stetson Honors Program. Also while in law school, Kelsey had the opportunity to serve as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Virginia M. Hernandez Covington of the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida and as a legal intern for Moffitt Cancer Center.

Prior to law school, Kelsey gained invaluable insight into hospital process and procedure and clinical treatment of patients while working in the Emergency Department of Orlando Regional Medical Center. After her first year of law school, Kelsey was invited back to Orlando Health as a summer intern within the Legal Affairs and System Strategy Development Departments.

Currently, Kelsey is very active in the Orange County Bar Association and the Central Florida Medical Malpractice Claims Counsel. Kelsey presently serves as Secretary of the Young Lawyer Section of the OCBA as well as on Chair of the Law Day 5K Committee and Co-Chair of the Membership Committee of the OCBA.

Kelsey is a Florida-native born in Daytona Beach and raised in New Smyrna Beach. She enjoys reading, hiking Florida trails, listening to true crime podcasts, and spending time with her family and two cats.
