Biography

Kenny Human’s path to the law is a story of incredible resilience. Just two days before Hurricane Katrina devastated his hometown of New Orleans, he caught the last flight out to start college at the University of Michigan. Losing his family home gave him a profound sense of empathy for people facing their own "storms." Kenny didn’t just study law, he actually helped create an interdisciplinary major focused on the political economy of crime. His background is incredibly diverse, having worked with the U.S. Marshals and the ATF before attending law school at the University of Kentucky. What really makes Kenny an asset at Hicks & Funfsinn, PLLC, is his experience on both sides of the aisle. He started his career defending insurance companies, which means he knows exactly how they try to minimize claims. Now, he uses that "inside" knowledge to fight for injured Kentuckians across more than 50 counties. He’s a dedicated advocate who takes a personal approach to every case, ensuring no detail is overlooked. When he’s off the clock, you’ll find him practicing Judo, cheering for the Saints, or hanging out with his two rescue dogs.
