Kenneth Scott Rubenzer is an Associate in the firm's Fort Myers office. He specializes in the areas of insurance defense and general civil litigation. Mr. Rubenzer brings a strong foundation in litigation preparation, document review, and risk analysis developed through both public service and private-sector roles.Mr. Rubenzer earned his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, where he received a Law and Business Certificate and was named to the Dean’s List. In addition, he received a Merit Scholarship and was recognized for his practical legal writing and research.Prior to joining Cole, Scott & Kissane, Mr. Rubenzer worked as an Attorney Product Specialist with Thomson Reuters (Casetext), providing legal research, drafting internal legal guidance, and evaluating contract-related outputs for an AI legal assistant platform. He previously worked in document-intensive roles at a one of the largest financial institutions in the U.S., reviewing contracts and loan documentation for compliance, and managed real estate and regulatory operations for a real estate development firm.Mr. Rubenzer is an active volunteer with the Guardian ad Litem Program for Florida’s 20th Judicial Circuit. In this role, he prepares hearing-ready files, investigates contested dependency matters, and presents statutory best-interest recommendations to the court.
