Kevin Cheney

Kevin Cheney has wanted to be a trial lawyer for as long as he can remember, inspired by courtroom champions like Atticus Finch and Gerry Spence. As he grew older, he saw how often everyday people are forced to take on opponents with deeper pockets who don’t always play fair. Born and raised in Casper, Wyoming, Kevin learned early the value of hard work and looking out for your neighbors, and those principles still guide his practice today. More than a decade into his career, he remains committed to protecting individual rights and pursuing justice, especially when someone is facing overwhelming odds. Since co-founding CGH, he has helped injured clients navigate insurance claims and, when necessary, taken cases to court when companies refuse to negotiate in good faith. He also advocates for consumers through the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association’s Legislative Committee and defends people accused of crimes, earning not-guilty verdicts and negotiating fair plea agreements when appropriate. A University of Colorado Law School graduate and former class vice president, Kevin successfully challenged a Boulder ordinance on First Amendment grounds, winning at trial and on appeal.
