Biography

Kevin J. McManus was born and raised in Kansas City and has spent his career practicing in courts across Missouri and Kansas. Motivated by a belief in the legal system’s power to improve clients’ lives and the broader community, he began his career at a national Kansas City law firm representing corporations and insurance companies in complex matters. Early on, a case involving a young woman who suffered a brain injury in a car crash led him to secure a settlement that transformed her prospects; that outcome inspired him to devote his practice to personal injury and disability law. His firm has since helped numerous individuals throughout Missouri and Kansas, focusing on educating and empowering clients through high-quality representation. In addition to his legal work, Mr. McManus served two terms on the Kansas City, Missouri City Council from 2015 to 2023, including as Mayor Pro Tem, and earlier served in the Missouri House of Representatives—experiences that deepen his understanding of the law and community service.
