Biography

Kevin R. Gowen II is Senior Counsel with Alvarez, Thompson, & Smoak, P.A. His practice is focused on litigation.Mr. Gowen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University in 1996. Thereafter, he received his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University in 2004. While in law school, Mr. Gowen was a member of the Jessup Moot Court, in which he competed in moot international law disputes, as well as was an associate justice of the Student Supreme Court.

Before practicing, Mr. Gowen worked in information technology, as well as was a high school teacher in Japan. Before joining ATS, Mr. Gowen worked for two large law firms where he represented defendants in personal injury cases and commercial creditors in business disputes.

Mr. Gowen is a Florida native who was born in Miami and grew up in Tampa. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and studying foreign language.
