Biography

Kevin is a founding equity partner of Luzuriaga Mims, LLP. Kevin has been involved with the defense of numerous complex construction defect cases, representing general contractors, developers, subcontractors and owners. His practice also includes products liability, general civil litigation, and defending concurrent jurisdiction claims brought under the South Carolina Workers Compensation Act and the Longshore and Harbor workers' compensation Act. Kevin is a 1998 cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina and a 2001 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law. He enjoys an AV peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He is also a certified circuit court mediator. Kevin is a member of the Charleston County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the South Carolina Bar Association, including the Tort & Insurance Practice Section and the Construction Law Section. He also holds memberships in the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association and the Defense Research Institute. Kevin previously served as the Ninth Circuit Representative for the YLD of the South Carolina Bar and on its committee for professional development.
