Biography

Khadija Misuraca is a partner at Barrocas, Mintz, Misuraca & Record, P.C. Throughout her professional career, Ms. Misuraca has zealously represented clients in all areas of family law. Since licensed to practice, her primary area of concentration has been in divorce and family law, handling mid-sized as well as high asset divorce and family law cases, including those that involve child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, property and asset division, post judgment modifications, domestic violence and all other aspects of family law.

Ms. Misuraca is a strong and devoted advocate for clients, and is dedicated to guiding them through the emotional and financial hurdles that come with divorce proceedings. Ms. Misuraca prides herself with practicing with sensitivity and is committed to her clients and their cause, recognizing that divorce and child custody are intensely personal. In addition to representing clients in contentious divorces, Ms. Misuraca, a trained mediator through The Center for Mediation in Law, offers flat-fee divorce mediation for couples who wish to engage in a less adversarial process. Ms. Misuraca has also been a fierce advocate for those in need having worked with the Coalition of Domestic Violence to represent clients on a pro-bono basis in matrimonial matters where the clients are victims of domestic violence.

Ms. Misuraca received her J.D. from Hofstra University and her B.S. from the State University of New York at Binghamton. At Hofstra Ms. Misuraca was a member of the Family Court Review where she was an editor of the Matrimonial Newsletter.

Ms. Misuraca is a member of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and Nassau County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association.
