Biography

Ms. Kenealy is a partner emeritus of the firm and is now Of Counsel.Her areas of practice include complex litigation in the defense of medical, hospital and dental malpractice. Ms. Kenealy also defends labor law, construction, premises liability, motor vehicle and general liability cases.Kim also handles personal injury litigation representing individuals who have been injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents, construction accidents and animal attacks.

In addition to her insurance defense and personal injury practice, Kim also practices in the area of Real Estate transactions, assisting people with buying or selling residential or commercial real estate as well as related real estate litigation.

Kim is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is admitted to practice in State and Federal Courts including the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Kim has earned a Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating of BV Distinguished, indicating high to very high legal ability and very high ethical standards.

Before becoming a lawyer, Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in history/political science, and worked for several years as an educator. She later obtained a paralegal degree and worked side by side with attorneys in private practice. Her knowledge and experience gives her a unique understanding of the complex challenges facing her clients. She carries that knowledge and experience in advocating for her clients, recognizing the importance of communication and collaboration in obtaining successful results.

Kim is a member of the Albany County, Schenectady County, New York State, American and Capital District Women’s Bar Associations as well as numerous other professional organizations.
