Biography

Kimberly Horsley is a member of our Mass Tort Law & Briefing Group, which prepares motions, briefs and appeals for our firm’s class action and multidistrict litigation. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Ms. Horsley practiced at one of the World’s largest law firms in Los Angeles and one of Michigan’s largest firms in the Detroit-metro area. While at Morgan & Morgan Ms. Horsley has been highly involved in briefing critical motions in the following representative matters:

• In re Juul Labs, Inc., Mktg Sales Practices and Prods Liab Litig, which ended in a multi-billion dollar settlement.
• In re Social Media Adolescent Addiction (JCCP No. 5255), with the first bellwether trial (K.G.M.) against Meta and YouTube ending in a $6M liability verdict, and a settlement with TikTok and Snapchat prior to trial.
• In re Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 Receptor Agonists (GLP-1 RAs) Prods Liab Litig, currently consolidated as an MDL in the EDPA.

In addition to working in private practice, Ms. Horsley has clerked for five judges at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and for one state court judge in Oakland County, Michigan.

Ms. Horsley also has deep experience in appellate work. Ms. Horsley’s appellate experience began immediately following law school when she had the opportunity to clerk for the Hon. James L. Ryan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Since that time, she has represented numerous clients in the appellate process, including serving on the briefing team for a pro bono matter before the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Horsley graduated summa cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2001 and from Brigham Young University with both a Bachelor’s in Science and a Master’s in Education. While at law school, Ms. Horsley was named “Best Female Graduate” by the National Association of Women Lawyers, was on the Dean’s List all semesters, and was a member of the Pepperdine Law Review.
